· Arrival and welcome ceremony
· Introduction, Ice-breakers, meet and greet with host families
Thursday October 13th
· Tour of the Region for the visiting delegations
· Participation in Fête de Famille GRA Activity- Cajundome
· Sessions Pourquoi parler le français en Louisiane? With the AnimACTEURS - Cajundome
· Preparation for the Grand Rallye Automobile
Friday October 14th
· Grand Rallye Automobile to discover the region by car through a series of clues written by Richard Guidry to bring awareness to Louisiana’s heritage and language. Each team will be composed of participants from each delegation—Lafayette and surrounding areas.
· Free time in Lafayette with host family or chaperone
· Opening of Festivals Acadiens et Créoles – Girard Park
· Small group session en to help chose the discussion topics for the following day -- Girard Park
· End of day game – Girard Park
Saturday October 15th
· Youth Conference - Vermilionville
Round Table discussions and presentations which will focus on the future of La Francophonie in relation to Louisiana with special guests including:
· Denis Desgagné, Directeur Général of the Centre de la Francophonie des Amériques
· Éric-Mathieu Doucet, Directeur Général of the Société Nationale de l'Acadie
· Joseph Dunn, Executive Director of CODOFIL
· David Cheramie, CEO, Bayou Vermilion district
· Several Jeunes Ambassadeurs de la Francophonie des Amériques (from Louisiana and abroad)
· Fête de Jeunes at 7PM (young francophone artists, non-traditional) Vermilionville, 115 Fisher Rd, Lafayette
Open to the public, tickets $8, dinner optional. Featured performers:
· Isle Dernière from Houma/Lafayette, Louisiana
· Katherine Noël from New Brunswick
· Bête 5 from Nova Scotia
Sunday October 16th
· Open air Catholic Mass in French - Scène Salle de Danse, Festivals Acadiens et Créoles (optional)
· La Grande Procession – Parade around Girard Park to affirm the cultural and community ties which link Acadian and Louisiana populations in their own traditions: the Courir du Mardi Gras, the Tintamarre, the Mi-Carême, the Guiannée and the Chandeleur. We’re gonna make some noise !!
